Meet the writer behind the words

By the time I was three, I was obsessed with sharpening pencils, and I wouldn’t let my parents throw away sheets of paper, even if those sheets were wrinkled or torn. A blank page is always begging for words.

A little later, it was Dickens, Michael Crichton, and Star Trek. Eventually, all this led to a Master of Fine Arts in fiction, a couple of short story publications, and a novel I’m wrapping up now. I taught writing to college students at Oregon State University and handled academic and career advising in Theatre and English at Purdue before advancing into higher ed admin. Little by little, I missed spending my days writing, so I decided to look for a way to tell human stories in meaningful spaces, full-time. Now, here I am, enjoying projects that let me bring my lifelong love of imagination into copy, brand, and video.

The rest of me: Kazuo Ishiguro fanatic. Oil painter. Fly fisher. LEGO builder. Often to be found in existential conversations with my Ph.D. wife while our cats reinvent chaos around us. I love growing tomatoes, and I cling to dreams of eventually having a woodworking shop in my back yard.
