Mike, who’s featured in the video, brought this story to me with a slightly different shape. The original idea was “A Day in the Life,” and it was already great. But when he told me about his daughter and how much their entire family relies on the technology behind Continuous Glucose Monitors and insulin pumps, it was clear there was something we could say to bring this home.

INSIGHTS

The beginning and the end of this is personal. In explaining how this technology secures everything from email to smart cars, there’s an extension we can make—it protects people in the most profound way.

I interviewed Mike, wrote the script with him, and worked on art for the shoot. I directed the shoot and the editing, and I built the social and email campaign around the release of the video.
